  • What qaulity assurance system do you use in your factory to ensure the thermal switch quality?

    1. To ensure the quality consistence of our bimetal thermal switch, we got ISO9001:2015 version certification and fulfill the system strictly.

    2. The life endurance we guaranteed is based on the working enviroment and rating. Different thermal switch has different level, like 10,000 cycles, 30,000 cycles.

    3. The defective rate of our thermal switch that we promise to our customer is 20 to 100 ppm according to different application.

  • What parameters should I provide when I am trying to ask for thermal protector samples?

    A: If you need to have temperature sensitive thermal protector samples, please prepare the following parameters:
    1. Rated voltage, rated current.
    2. Operating temperature and rest temperature of thermal protectors.
    3. Length of lead wire, color, type and temperature resistance.
    4. Application of thermal protector.
    5. Mounting requirements if needed, including dimensional requirements. Our thermal protector can insert to the coils of electric motor or transformers.
    B: If you want to have current sensitive thermal protector samples, you may prepare three more parameters besides the above:
    1. Trip off current
    2. Trip off time
    3. Normally working temperature of thermal protector. It can not trip off under this temperature.

  • Theory and main parameters

    The operating principle of the thermal protector is simple and effective. At the heart of the protector is a bimetal snap-action disc. When the temperature of this disc reaches its pre-calibrated temperature it snaps open, resulting in an open circuit. This temperature is reached during a fault condition, caused by either an increase in ambient temperature, an increase in current flowing through the disc, or a combination of both. After thermal protector breaks the circuit, the system cools and it automatically resets allowing power to be restored to the circuit.

    Opening Temperature

    The temperature at which thermal protector makes the circuit open.

    Reset Temperature

    The temperature at which thermal protector reset the circuit as it cools.

    Maximum Contact Ratings

    The cycles of thermal protector reverts the circuit from open to reset when it works

    under rated current and voltage.

  • How to test the opening & reset temperatures?

    Testing be done in the oven that the precision of constant temp is ±1℃. When testing, the thermocouple or thermometer should be place nearest to samples. During temperature rising ,when the temperature reaches 10℃ less than rated temperature, the temperature rising rate should be less than 0.5℃per minute and the testing current should be no more than 0.01A.

  • How long is the delivery time?

    Our common lead time for bimetal thermal switch is 15 to 35 days upon receipt of advance. If we have inventory, the lead time could be 7-10 days. For new products ,the lead time would be 25 to 40 days.
    Sometimes rush orders are also acceptable, but the lead time should be agreed by both sides before order release.
