PPTC series polymer positive temperature coefficient thermistors are composed of a polymer matrix and conductive carbon black particles. Due to the certain conductivity of this material, there will be current passing through it. When an overcurrent passes through a thermistor, the heat generated will cause it to expand, resulting in the separation of carbon black particles and an increase in its resistance.
